A bimetallic Cu-BHQT receptor for selective cysteine detection in extracellular environments via fluorescence quenching-recovery
Abstract
BHQT, a quinoline–hydrazine probe, forms a nonfluorescent complex with Cu 2+ (1 : 2). Upon Cys addition, Cu 2+ is displaced, restoring fluorescence. This reversible system enables selective and sensitive detection of Cys (LOD ∼419 µM) for biological and clinical analysis.
