Abstract

A Ni-doped CuO catalyst (0.1-Ni–CuO NP) was constructed. Ni doping boosts nitrate adsorption and *H supply for hydrogenation. Consequently, it delivers a high NH 3 rate (1.065 mmol h −1 cm −2 ) and Faradaic efficiency (90.6%) at low nitrate levels.
