Insertion modes and origins of product selectivity in rare-earth-catalysed C–H functionalization with conjugated dienes
Abstract
DFT studies identify the insertion modes of conjugated dienes in rare-earth-catalyzed C–H functionalization and the origins of selectivity, revealing that post-insertion reactivity—rather than insertion itself—governs product outcomes.
