Abstract

The direct Csp 2 –Csp 3 cross-coupling of aryl fluorosulfates with alkyl bromides proceeded smoothly via C–O bond cleavage with the aid of a Pd catalyst, RuPhos, Mg, and LiCl (with or without ZnCl 2 ) in THF to produce a variety of alkylated arenes.
