Abstract

A visible-light-driven dearomative [2 + 2] photocycloaddition converts heteroaromatic gem -difluoro alkenes into difluorinated bicyclo[2.1.1]hexane bioisosteres under mild conditions with broad scope and excellent diastereoselectivity.
