Abstract

Brake-by-wire systems are widely used in new energy vehicles due to their advantages such as rapid response and excellent controllability. However, when single or multiple failures occur in the brake-by-wire system, the braking intensity during vehicle deceleration may be reduced, leading to safety issues like unintended vehicle deviation. Based on the characteristics of brake-by-wire systems, this paper investigates the vehicle braking force distribution and control methods under failure conditions. Starting from traditional braking force allocation, the braking dynamics of the vehicle under both single-point and multi-point brake-by-wire failure scenarios are analyzed. A coordinated control method for vehicle braking forces under brake-by-wire systems is proposed, aiming to reduce the yaw moment during brake failures and ensure vehicle safety and stability.
