Abstract

With the rapid development of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, smart manufacturing, and in-vehicle systems, embedded systems are being increasingly applied in various types of terminal devices. However, embedded systems face severe cybersecurity threats during networked operations, including remote intrusion, data leakage, and malicious control, which significantly impact system stability and user data security. Due to the limited resources, weak update mechanisms, and closed nature of embedded devices, traditional computer network security technologies are difficult to apply directly. Therefore, how to efficiently deploy lightweight, highly secure network protection mechanisms in embedded environments has become a key research issue. This paper systematically reviews the main cybersecurity threats faced by embedded systems and analyzes the adaptation paths and implementation mechanisms of key cybersecurity technologies, such as lightweight encryption and authentication technologies, embedded intrusion detection systems, and secure communication protocols, in embedded systems. By constructing a comprehensive architecture for embedded security systems and conducting case studies based on typical application scenarios, this paper aims to provide theoretical basis and practical references for enhancing the overall security of embedded systems.
