Collaborative resource allocation and interoperability in multi vendor multi operator open radio access networks
Abstract
This research presents a collaborative resources allocations and inter-operability framework within multi-vendor, multi-operator scenario, aiming towards enhancing the new coming network paradigm, represented by open radio access networks (ORANs). This research gives a model that can combine the economic factors, such as maximizing the profit of vendor and operator, concurrent with the demand of quality of service (QoS) and fairness. The model also presents a multi-disciplinary method where dynamic pricing strategies, auction systems, and game theory are combined to provide a resource allocation model that promote fair resources for all the users. based on existing resource allocation methods, this paper is extended to adapt the real-time priority-based resources allocations. In terms of fairness, the distributed method with active set algorithm scores higher with most of the operators reaching 6 for operator 5, while the centralized method reaches the highest 3.7 for operator 5. For the QoS and profit, the distributed SQP scores highest with 12.5 and 23, respectively. While the centralized method scored the highest values 11 and 20 in operator 4 for QoS and profit, respectively.
