Abstract

As society develops, distributed sensors play an important role in everyday life, and their power consumption has decreased to the milliwatt level. Therefore, environmental energy harvesting technology has the potential to provide energy for low-power sensors. To achieve environmental energy harvesting, this paper proposes a dual-layer structure of electromagnetic generation (EMG)-triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG) hybrid wind energy harvester. This paper studies the structural parameters and performance of traditional single-layer wind cup wind energy harvesters and designs a dual-layer structure wind energy harvester based on the optimal parameters. After experimental verification, the output performance of the dual-layer structure increased by 101.3% at the same speed, and it has a higher energy conversion efficiency when the wind speed is higher than 8 m/s. In addition, this paper manages the voltage generated by different power sources and integrates self-powered and wind speed self-monitoring wind energy harvesters.
