Abstract

The 21st century has witnessed remarkable advancements in science and technology, driving significant progress across various fields, especially in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA).These developments have played a crucial role in addressing global challenges, such as environmental sustainability, food security, biodiversity conservation, and the creation of innovative technologies to enhance human welfare.Within the sustainable development framework, research in Mathematics and Natural Sciences is vital for crafting scientific solutions that balance human needs with the conservation of natural resources.Universitas Papua (UNIPA) aspires to become an autonomous, esteemed, and entrepreneurial research institution by 2035, with a particular focus on agriculture and conservation of both natural and cultural resources. In line with this vision, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UNIPA aims to establish itself as a center of excellence in the natural and formal sciences, rooted in agriculture and the conservation of Papua's natural resources. To realize this vision, it is essential to create a platform for scientists, academics, and practitioners to share their research findings and foster collaboration, thereby advancing science that is both applicable and impactful. The 1st Papua International Conference on Biodiversity and Natural Sciences (PICoBNST 2025) has been established as an academic forum designed to unite researchers from various disciplines to discuss the latest developments in science and technology. This conference is expected to serve as a platform for advancing research on Papua's natural resources, with particular emphasis on sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and the application of modern technology in biodiversity conservation.By prioritizing an interdisciplinary approach, the conference aims to facilitate the development of science-based policies for sustainable management of natural resources. It seeks to establish a collaborative network among academia, government, and industry to promote research that leverages scientific advancements for environmental sustainability and societal welfare. The international conference will be organized through collaboration among FMIPA UNIPA, FMIPA Cenderawasih
