Abstract

The aim of this study is to quantify the Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRL) values for adult patients concerning whole-body Positron Emission Tomography (PET) 18F-FDG examination in a new private nuclear medicine centre in Marrakech-Safi region. For the administration of activities, the DRL value was determined as the 75 percentiles using 202 PET exams. Sex, age, weight and height were also recorded. The results of this study confirmed that the DRL for 18F-FDG was 242 MBq. The DRL calculated for whole-body FDG PET is less than the published National DRLs, from Switzerland , South Korea, Qatar, Australia and New Zealand and Health Information & Quality Authority.
