Concomitant Resection of a Large Anterior Skull Base Meningioma and Clipping of Ruptured ACA Aneurysm Presenting as Spontaneous Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Abstract
A 52-year-old man presented with a subarachnoid hemorrhage from a ruptured A2 dissecting aneurysm with hemorrhage around a large planum sphenoidale meningioma. After interventional methods of treating the aneurysm were deemed unsafe, the patient was taken to the operating room for concomitant resection of their meningioma and aneurysm clipping. Complete resection of the tumor was achieved along with successful clip ligation of the aneurysm. No complications occurred and the patient was discharged to rehab.
