Endoscopic Resection of Transinfundibular Craniopharyngioma: 2D Operative Video
Abstract
Maximizing extent of resection for so-called “transinfundibular” craniopharyngiomas, which extend superiorly through the infundibular stalk, can be challenging. In this 2D endoscopic operative video, we demonstrate our technique of vertically incising the infundibulum to remove tumor from the infundibular recess. This technique creates a high-flow cerebrospinal fluid leak from the third ventricle, which we close with an abdominal fat graft and nasoseptal flap.
