Nuances on Judicious use of NASO-Septal Flap in Extended Endonasal Approaches for Removal of Pituitary Macroadenoma with Different Patterns of Suprasellar Extension
Abstract
Using nasoseptal flap(NSF) or not, for sellar reconstruction in extended endoscopic endonasal approaches for macroadenomas depends on pattern of suprasellar extension. Case 1- NSF was used where adenoma had horizontal extension over the planum sphenoidale and diapgragmatic defect (DD)>1cm.
