Warped product submanifolds of Sasakian manifolds
Abstract
In this paper, a new class of submanifolds namely generic submanifolds of a Sasakian manifold are defined and some of its geometric properties are obtained. Moreover, the case when these submanifolds are immersed as warped products is also taken up. Characterizations are obtained under which a generic submanifold is locally a warped product submanifold of the underlying Sasakian manifold. Infact, possible warped product submanifolds of Sasakian manifold are generic warped product submanifolds.
