Abstract

We obtain a fixed point theorem for a self map on a 4-dimensional ball metric-space and extend it to n-dimensional (n ≥ 4) ball metric-spaces. In this paper, the notion of B4-metric-spaces and Bn-metric-spaces which extends metric-spaces introduced by K.K.M. Sarma, Ch. Srinivasa Rao and S. Ravi Kumar is introduced. Analogues of some well-known fixed point theorems are proved in this space. These results generalize many known results in fixed point theory.
