Abstract

To improve the generation efficiency of ozone-based microbubbles and water treatment effects, as well as achieve efficient degradation of organic pollutants in aquaculture wastewater, this study addresses the shortcomings of traditional single-stage, series, and parallel Venturi tubes. Using the Venturi tube as the cavitation research carrier, numerical simulation and experimental research methods are comprehensively applied. This study systematically explores the occurrence mechanism and influencing factors of cavitation phenomena in Venturi tubes. A novel combined Venturi tube optimization design scheme is proposed, and experiments are conducted to examine the impact of various inlet pressures on the cavitation properties of Venturi tubes. By measuring water conductivity, temperature changes, and bubble diameter, as well as using high-speed photography and image processing techniques for quantitative analysis of cavitation bubbles, the reliability of numerical simulation results is verified. Experimental results show that the novel combined Venturi tube can generate more and smaller ozone-based microbubbles in a shorter time.
