Vibrational movement of material in a chute with combined friction
Abstract
This paper presents a mathematical model for the vibration motion of a body enclosed within a fixed casing, where the walls possess varying friction coefficients. Through numerical integration of the derived differential equations of motion, we established the relationships between the average speed of cargo transportation and the friction coefficients of both the chute walls and the oscillating surface, along with the frequency, amplitude, and direction of the oscillations. The key findings from the theoretical studies were validated through experimental testing. This research has potential applications in the design of vehicles with enhanced technical and economic characteristics.
