Abstract

The present research aims to summarize and review research on latent heat storage technology using solid phase change materials. This method has been widely used recently for its efficiency and the ease of design of the heat exchanger, because the size of the material does not change significantly when the heat is obtained, unlike the method in which the materials change phase is used from solid to liquid, in which the design of the heat exchanger is complicated due to changes in the size of the material during heat and melting. The thermal storage method with solid-solid phase change materials depends on changing the crystal arrangement of the material while it remains in its solid state, where it changes from a regular crystal arrangement to a random crystal arrangement and vice versa.
