Design of water temperature and pH telemetry systems in freshwater aquaculture ponds based on the internet of things (IoT)
Abstract
A basic understanding of the factors that affect pond water quality is necessary for fish cultivation pond owners to maintain good water quality and a healthy pond ecosystem. If these factors neglected, it would lead to problems such as excess algae, overgrowth of aquatic plants, foul odor, or even fish death. These will significantly affect the resulting fish production. Therefore, the right solution to get over this problem is to pay attention to the necessary factors that affect water quality and reduce human error in the management of fish cultivation ponds. In this research, a telemetry system model developed to measure pool water quality parameters. This system model can produce accurate, fast measurement values in real-time and be monitored from any location using internet technology within the IoT (Internet of Things) framework. The results of this study indicate that IoT can be implemented in measuring an object’s physical characteristics, such as temperature telemetry and air pH poses, to obtain accurate, valid, and fast measurement values.
