Abstract

Leafix is an application developed to make it easier for farmers, especially farmers in Indonesia, to find out diseases that attack corn plants so that farmers can anticipate crop failures since early stage. Designing a User Interface (UI) is required in making the Leafix application to produce an application with an easy-to-use UI. Leafix application UI design is done using the Double Diamond method. The Double Diamond method is an approach to User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design that helps the design team to solve problems and find innovative solutions through an iterative process. This approach describes the creative process from the exploration stage to implementation with two main stages that are open and divergent and the decision-making and convergent stage. The “Diamond” concept illustrates that this design process is increasingly diverging in the early stages and increasingly convergent in the later stages. Usability Testing in the study involved 23 respondents with backgrounds from the general public and farmers. The results are shown with the applica on ge ng an average score of 97.7 where the overall UI/UX design of the tested application on has received a high level of usability, meaning that the tasks tested tend to be easy and comfortable for users to do.
