Abstract

Tofu wastewater usually has a high amount of organic substances, nutrient riched and safety wastewater and is regarded as an excellent alternative biofertilizer. Tofu wastewater biofertilizer was fermented by PGPR as a bio activator. Biofertilizer was used on chili plant to increase its growth. The aims of this study were conducted to examine the effect of tofu wastewater biofertilizer on the growth of chili plants. This research was conducted in the two organic fields with different application of biofertilizer; bamboo roots (AB) and putri malu roots (PM), and used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. The treatments of this study were several concentration of biofertilizer; 0, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, respectively. The treatments have no significant effect on the observed variables; including plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter, nevertheless by the average of the growth of sample plants was obtained AB biofertilizer gave the slightly higher effect on the observed variables compared to PM biofertilizer.
