Solar photovoltaic integrated on vehicle roof
Abstract
This study explores the field of solar automobiles, focusing on the problems of low efficiency when there is no sunlight and inadequate infrastructure for upkeep. The problem statement emphasizes how the performance of solar cars is impacted by sunshine scarcity and the inadequacy of support services. Finding the most effective design to incorporate photovoltaic (PV) panels onto car roofs while accounting for various automobile models is the main goal. The project is to evaluate battery consumption (in kWh) every 100 kilometers and analyze vehicle efficiency under various scenarios. A thorough summary of the body of information is given by the literature review, which addresses issues with low-light circumstances, maintenance infrastructure, and solar car technology. The methodology section describes the methodology used to research and evaluate solar-powered vehicles, highlighting the significance of measuring battery use and efficiency. A comparative study is carried out, assessing several solar car models according to their efficiency, battery usage, and design features. The types of solar cars examined are examined in detail, along with their performance and possible implications for sustainable transportation, in the results and debates. The study concludes by reflecting on the results, identifying its shortcomings, and making suggestions for further investigation and advancement of solar automobile technology. The goal of the study is to advance sustainable transportation solutions by offering engineers, decision-makers, and enthusiasts’ insightful information.
