An investigation about stresses and crash analysis in explicit dynamics of CFRP plate structure
Abstract
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates are widely employed in a variety of sectors due to their low density, high stiffness, and strength. Contrary to conventional materials, composite laminates can exhibit a wide range of failure causes. Furthermore, because of the anisotropy of the material, the stress distribution is dependent on its characteristics, which complicates the design of composites. This study’s main goal is to analyze the mechanical characteristics and stress distribution. By continuously applying fiber mat reinforcement, the goal is to develop a hybrid, non-ferrous reinforcement method for car crash boxes. Utilizing carbon fiber and the inner layer of basalt to reduce fire and collisions in the automobile industry is the main objective of this research. Create a crash box with CREO and use several structural designs, such as the Traditional, Triangle, and Honeycomb structures.
