Abstract

This project focuses on designing and simulating a pneumatic-based component singulation system for modern manufacturing, addressing challenges like handling thin or oiled components prone to sticking, misalignment, or damage. By automating the singulation process using pneumatic actuators, the system ensures precise, cost-effective, and reliable feeding of individual components into downstream processes such as assembly, packaging, or inspection. Automation reduces human labor, enhances safety, speeds up production, and ensures consistent quality. Simulations in SolidWorks evaluated key aspects like actuator performance, pressure control, and structural durability, ensuring operational reliability. The project highlights the potential of pneumatic systems to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve efficiency, offering a scalable solution for integration into advanced automated production lines.
