Special topic on light dynamics in active and passive randomized media
Abstract
Control and utilization of complex light fields are at the forefront of modern photonic research. This Special Issue explores light behavior and dynamics in both active and passive complex media, including biological tissues, multimode fibers, random lasers, and linear and non-linear disordered optical systems. The covered works emphasize harnessing disorder for spatiotemporal control of light fields and the creation of integrated devices and complex structures. The topics span disorder-based approaches for applications in unconventional imaging and sensing, light sources and optical devices, information security, and optical computing.
