A systematic review on sustainable energy transition in electric vehicle
Abstract
The global movement toward sustainable energy transition is increasingly directing focus toward the adoption of Electric Vehicles as part of an effective strategy to reduce carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. However, challenges thrive when it comes to developing and adopting EVs. These include limitations in battery technology, inadequate charging infrastructure, high initial costs, and other concerns about energy and environmental impacts. The infrastructure development is another major obstacle to the full integration of EVs into mainstream transportation systems. This paper identifies major problems that inhibit the current development of EVs, such as technological issues, and infrastructural shortcomings and also discusses potential strategies that could improve EV development, including augmenting the technology of batteries, increasing and installing more charging points, reducing costs in their production, and implementing supporting policies and incentives. These must be overcome to ensure a successful sustainable energy transition and prompt widespread adoption of electric mobility.
