Abstract

This study aims to visualize the mapping of research trends on the application of AI technology in learning. Through bibliometric analysis using Scopus data, 3828 documents were obtained. Then, limitations were made to articles published in Scopus-indexed international journals only, with the final publication stage in English and within the 2020-2024 time frame, 1165 documents were obtained. VOSviewer was used to visualize the analyzed data. The results show that the quantity of publications on this topic increased from 2020 to 2024. The United States is the most productive country, and it has done much research on this topic. King Saud University is the number 1 affiliate that has done much research on this topic. Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence (Q1; SJR 3.227) is the top-ranked journal that publishes the most articles on this topic. Four clusters were obtained. In recent years, AI has often been associated with ChatGPT, generative AI, explainable AI, lime, decision-making, curriculum, language learning, contractive learning, federated learning, personalized learning, feature extraction, and procedures. Some of these findings can be used as a primary consideration for future research supporting the achievement of SDGs.
