Abstract

The widespread food scarcity that continues to be an issue in Indonesia is rooted in the repeated crop failures that farmers in the country endure. This is the underlying cause of the problem. On the other hand, there are a number of businesses that provide digital platforms for the sale of food; nevertheless, these businesses have not yet been able to live up to the standards that their clients have set for them. According to the findings of the mood research that was carried out at SayurBox, the top reasons for consumer dissatisfaction include the fact that the things they receive are not fresh when they arrive, that deliveries are delayed, and that a significant number of essential commodities are not even available. The findings of the analysis indicate that this research suggests two distinct techniques to deal with the issue that has been identified. In the first place, SayurBox will be transformed into a digital supply chain company, and in the second place, it will serve as a third-party service provider between buyers and sellers. Considering that every city in Indonesia already has markets for meat, vegetables, fruits, and staple goods, this would make it possible for SayurBox to make its way to practically all of the country’s cities. This would make it possible for SayurBox to work together with the vendors in certain cities and make it possible to deliver packages quickly. On the other hand, it has the ability to reduce the risks that are associated with infrastructure, despite the fact that it will incur extremely high operational expenses. Adding a menu to the SayurBox program that is titled "Farmer Empowerment Program" is yet another strategy that can be utilized. Beginning with the seedling phase and concluding with commercialization, this menu would act as a coaching program for farmers, with the objective of ensuring that the harvest is of exceptional quality throughout the entire process. As a consequence of this, SayurBox is in a position to play a key role in maintaining the security of the nation’s food supply, promoting a more effective connection between farmers and customers, and making a positive contribution to the enhancement of the social and economic well-being of the agricultural community.
