Effect of contrast change on image analysis of megaloblastic anemia cells based on wavelet ideology for different color spaces
Abstract
The paper analyzes various aspects of edge detection in color medical images presented as images of megaloblastic anemia cells. The peculiarity of processing the corresponding images is edge detection for all objects of interest, including details of the megaloblastic anemia cell structure. The key aspects of the study are: edge detection based on wavelet ideology and preliminary contrasting of the original image in various color spaces. Among such spaces, the following spaces are considered: RGB, HSV, and XYZ. To compare the results, no-reference quality metrics of visual perception of images were used. It is shown that it is advisable to use wavelet ideology for edge detection, and the contrasting procedure is best performed in the XYZ space. The results are presented in the form of various tables, graphs, and figures.
