Abstract

The selection of phytosomes is based on their adaptability and capacity to move through the stratum corneum. Fusidic acid transdermal administration is being increased. Using solvent evaporation, this work produced fumidic acid phytosomes and examined their properties. Particle size, zeta potential, appearance, entrapment efficiency, optical microscopy, and TEM in vitro drug release. Phosphatidylcholine 90G produced an ideal phytosome formulation. [F6] had a high drug entrapment efficacy of 96.39±0.018%w/v and a small size of 224 nm. The present study’s favorable findings may guide future research on in-vivo performance. The Carbopol 934-based phytosomal gel formulation [F9] of fusidic acid showed medicine content of fusidic acid loaded phytosomal gel at 98.06±0.0122% and went through dialysis membrane using Franz.
