Wavelet coherence data for preventing phishing attacks in cyber security
Abstract
Phishing attacks are of malicious actions aimed at destabilizing the operation of individual computer systems and information databases. At the same time, by its nature, phishing is a type of fraud, from which individual users also suffer. Therefore, minimizing the risks associated with phishing attacks, their detection, and the prevention of development is one of the areas that ensure cyber security at different levels of operation of such systems and complexes. To improve the operation of cyber security systems, it is proposed to consider the effectiveness of detecting and recognizing such attacks. The possibility and feasibility of using wavelet coherence is considered for these purposes. Wavelet coherence allows us to evaluate the mutual dynamics of various characteristics of phishing attacks and identify hidden trends in their occurrence and development. This increases the effectiveness of preventing the development of phishing in the cyber security system. This process is also visualized by wavelet coherence estimates, which allows us to make appropriate decisions aimed at preventing the consequences of phishing attacks. The paper presents various diagrams of such analysis, which allows you to understand the course of the study and the validity of the results obtained.
