Structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric behavior of as milled (Fe0.55Mn0.45Ni0.6Co0.4)Zn multicomponent soft magnetic alloy
Abstract
We study the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of multicomponent alloy (Fe0.55Mn0.45Ni0.6Co0.4)Zn synthesized using ball milled method. Structural study confirmed the face-centered cubic (FCC) crystallographic phase with space group Fm-3m. Elemental composition analysis has established the compositional ratio. Magnetization results indicated that the considered multicomponent alloy shows a transitions from paramagnetic (PM) to ferromagnetic (FM) ordering below, TC ∼ 275 K, known as its Curie temperature. Furthermore, we have also examined magnetocaloric parameters for instance ΔSM, isothermal-magnetic entropy change and relative-cooling power (RCP), essential for fundamental and technological point of view. Outcomes suggested that the studied multicomponent alloy has substantial MCE around its magnetic ordering temperature. Both MC parameters have gradually increased with the applied magnetic field and followed power law behavior.
