Abstract

The research was carried out at the expense of the Russian Science Foundation grant No. 23-76-01090, https://rscf.ru/project/23-76-01090/. The article discusses the existing types of membranous electric heaters, the main difference of which lies in the resistive element material, which in turn affects its output characteristics (radiation flux densities, surface heating dynamics) under the same initial conditions (installed capacity, installation location, etc.). A membranous electric heater with a ribbon resistive element was selected for the study. An equation of thermal balance for a conductive element has been compiled, which allows mathematically describing the temperature distribution. The analysis of the obtained equation coefficients made it possible to estimate their effect on the surface temperature of the membranous electric heater. The dependences of the maximum allowable power density of the membranous electric heater on the ambient temperature are obtained, at fixed temperature values of the membranous electric heater surface. The data obtained were processed using the least squares method, which allowed to obtain a formula applicable to engineering calculations. The justification of this calculation method is given with the derivation of a working formula for calculating the membranous electric heater power, depending on the required surface temperature and ambient temperature, it can also be applied to other structural designs of membranous electric heaters.
