Abstract

This study proposes a cost-effective model for improving greenhouse management in Uzbekistan through the introduction of digital technologies. By using modern digital solutions such as the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics and cloud services in combination with traditional farming methods, the model increases production volumes, reduces costs and improves profitability. The study uses a hybrid approach, combining economic modeling (production function analysis, cost and profit) with data efficiency analysis (DEA) based on primary data collected from 58 greenhouses in key agricultural regions. The results show that the integration of digital technologies has a positive impact on crop yields and production efficiency, and leads to lower costs and higher profitability. These findings provide a compelling argument for policymakers and agribusiness representatives to invest in digitalization, which contributes to sustainable agricultural development, food security and rural economic growth in Uzbekistan.
