Analysis of critical thinking skills of learners through the application of E-LKPD based on artificial intelligence (AI)
Abstract
This study aims to determine the critical thinking skills of students, to determine the teacher’s efforts in developing students’ critical thinking skills, and to determine the obstacles faced by teachers and students in efforts to develop critical thinking skills through the application of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) approach assisted by LKPD media. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects of this study were fifth grade teachers and students. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that (1) The average critical thinking ability is 55.65 which is classified as low, with the highest indicator being the focus indicator, namely students understand the problem given by 80.9% and the lowest indicator is the situation indicator, namely students use all the correct information with the problem by 32.5%. (2) the efforts made by teachers to develop critical thinking skills are practicing giving open-ended problems and not giving memory and memorization questions, applying problem-based learning models with Artificial Intelligence (AI) approaches, and using LKPD media. (3) obstacles faced by teachers and students in developing critical thinking skills, namely inadequate school facilities.
