Analysis of remote voting system mechanism
Abstract
This study investigates several remote voting approaches, discussing behavior-based evolution of the models and security over them. This paper presents key properties of Helios, Scantegrity and Pretty Good Democracy while discussing their impact on verifiability, integrity undermining privacy penetration resistance. Further, the paper presents a comprehensive study of such established studies, discussing key findings from these works to provide perspective on the issues and trajectories within remote voting technologies. It identifies a continued requirement for easily used, verifiable platforms that scale whilst maintaining confidence in them. This paper demonstrates the necessity of continuous evolution in both cryptographic protocols and usability design for solving remaining problems with remote voting systems.
