Ion-salt composition of the salt water of western deep-water part of large aral sea and its variability
Abstract
The depletion of the Aral Sea's water level is directly linked to the concentration of specific ions, which is influenced by the distribution of salt deposits in different areas. Measures were devised to assess the proportionate compo-sition of the desiccated bed of the Aral Sea based on the findings of the investigations. Our investigation of the seabed in the Aral Sea revealed that the depth of soil sediments varies from 2 to 6 meters as we go from the southern to the northern region. These sediments have a moisture content ranging froma 40% to 80%. The salinity of groundwater was 0.4-0.9% less than that of saltwater. The distribution patterns of clay minerals and soluble salts in the soil were studied to split the western coast of the Great Aral Sea into three levels. There is no discernible pattern of change in the observed indicators in the first layer. The second and third layers are distinct, and the linkages exhibit specific patterns. Research has shown that as the depth rises in the second layer, the amount of clay in the soil reduces. However, at the start of the third layer, the clay content increases again, although to a lesser extent than at the beginning of the second layer. These phenomena impact the dispersion of soluble salts.
