A new memristive chaotic system featuring flexible parameter-controlled multiscroll attractors and homogeneous multistability
Abstract
Multiscroll chaos with facile regulation of the number of scrolls has great application potential in engineering practice. This article introduces the floor function to construct a simple flux-controlled memristor and further establishes a novel parameter-controlled multiscroll memristive chaotic system (MMCS) based on the proposed memristor. The designed MMCS features a simple structure, and its prominent merit lies in that multiscroll attractors can be generated without changing the model architecture, where the number of scrolls is regulated by memristor parameters. Analysis of equilibria clarifies its generation mechanism. In addition, the MMCS exhibits abundant dynamic behaviors, including multistability and offset boosting. Notably, memristor parameters can affect the number of coexisting attractors. To this end, an STM32-based digital circuit is designed and implemented. Multiscroll attractors are successfully captured via an oscilloscope. Finally, the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) test further confirms its practical application value.
