Justice Theory
Abstract
This chapter aims to provide insights into the use of justice theory in tourism and hospitality (T&H) research. The theory is examined through two distinct perspectives in the T&H literature: marketing and organizational. From the marketing perspective, justice theory focuses on the fair treatment of customers, ensuring that marketing strategies adhere to principles of fairness. From the organizational perspective, the theory emphasizes fair treatment of employees and the equitable implementation of organizational policies. This chapter also offers a comprehensive summary of the existing literature on T&H studies from these varied perspectives, concluding with recommendations for future research directions for scholars in the field.
