Abstract

This chapter examines the utilization of deep learning (DL) in greenhouse agriculture, emphasizing its capacity to augment productivity, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing sustainability. DL utilizes data-driven algorithms to enable precise regulation of environmental factors, including temperature, humidity, and light, thereby ensuring optimal conditions for crop growth. The amalgamation of sensor networks and real-time data processing facilitates adaptive modifications to irrigation, nutrient distribution, and pest control, thereby reducing resource depletion and enhancing plant vitality. In order to monitor crop health, spot early indicators of pests or diseases, and take prompt action, advanced image recognition and anomaly detection models are essential. DL algorithms also support predictive modeling, which helps with strategic planning and climate change adaptation. DL facilitates the effective administration of greenhouse systems by automating intricate decision-making procedures, which helps to sustainably increase crop output in regulated settings.
