Abstract

Due to their potential uses, polyaniline (PANI) and graphene thin films have garnered attention recently. This mini-review examines (PANI/graphene) thin film production, properties, and applications. PANI/graphene thin films are made by in-situ polymerization, electrochemical deposition, and layer-by-layer assembly. These methods provide precision thin film fabrication with customizable properties for specific purposes. PANI/graphene nanocomposites outperform their components in electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. PANI/graphene thin films have several uses due to their unique properties. Due to their excellent conductivity and flexibility, they are used to make sensors, transistors, and flexible electronics. Thin layers in supercapacitors and batteries increase energy density and charge-discharge cycles. PANI/graphene thin films’ high surface area and adsorptive qualities make them promising for water and air purification. PANI/graphene thin films may have biological implications, according to this review. They are suitable for biosensors, drug delivery systems, and tissue engineering due to their biocompatibility and biological system engagement. PANI and graphene in thin films create a complex material that combines nanotechnology and biomedicine to solve healthcare problems. The production, characterization, and use of PANI/graphene thin films demonstrate their importance in many technological disciplines.
