Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) has intensified global inequalities, especially impacting marginalized communities and resource-scarce nations. This phenomenon, known as “Digital Colonialism,” reflects the persistence of colonial ideologies and the militarization of AI, posing threats to human dignity and global justice. A postcolonial approach interrogates the ideological foundations behind technological development and promotes respect for life, dignity, and creation. This study explores how postcolonial perspectives foster ethical discernment to confront digital colonialism and mitigate the harmful consequences of unchecked technological advancement.
