Asymptotic properties of the edge frequency polygons under φ -mixing samples
Abstract
As the improvement method of frequency polygons, the edge frequency polygons exhibit superior statistical properties. In this paper, an in-depth exploration of the asymptotic behaviour of the edge frequency polygon estimation is conducted. Specifically, under the φ-mixing samples, its uniformly complete consistency and asymptotic normality are established. Finally, comprehensive numerical simulations are provided to illustrate these large-sample properties of the estimation.
