Abstract

The topic of improving the resilience of the power grid by using mobile battery storage has received significant attention, especially when they are interchangeable. Therefore, this article focuses on doing a multi-objective optimisation of system operation with solar/wind penetration to examine how the size of the repleaceable battery impacts the system's ability to satisfy load demand with least cost while maintaining a high degree of output robustness. Case studies are performed in 33-bus distribution system to validate using real data on wind speed, sun irradiation, and load patterns. The result demonstrates that increasing the battery size not only decreases the overall cost of the system but also enhances the system's ability to withstand and recover from disruptions. The suggested approach for enhancing the battery capacity in power systems including renewable resources such as wind and solar may enhance their resilience and economic feasibility. This technique can serve as a valuable tool for making informed decisions on the growth of power systems.
