Comment on “Structured backward errors for block three-by-three saddle point systems”
Abstract
In this note, we first point out a crucial mathematical flaw in the proof of Theorem 3.1 from the recent publication [Ma et al. Structured backward errors for block three-by-three saddle point systems. Linear Multilinear Algebra 2024;72(18):3177–3197], and then provide correct statements and proofs of both Theorems 3.1 and 3.2. Throughout, we use the same notations and equation numbers as in the above reference.
