Abstract

This paper presents a compact, high-isolation waveguide power divider utilizing an embedded waveguide-to-microstrip transition. Unlike conventional E-plane probe designs in rectangular waveguide-coaxial transitions, the proposed structure directly converts waveguide magnetic energy to microstrip current, eliminating the need for cavity wall slots or internal conductors. The design achieves low profile and high isolation characteristics with the advantages of low loss, high integration, and small size. The simulation results show good agreement with the measurements, exhibiting a 24.4% bandwidth with an insertion loss of 0.3 dB and an isolation of 25 dB.
