Abstract

In the present work, two different imaging configurations based on second-order image plane of the suitably recorded two identical hololenses have been proposed for designing double-aperture speckle interferometer. One configuration uses hololenses recorded with the interference of converging spherical and planar wavefronts, whereas another configuration uses hololenses recorded with diverging spherical and planar wavefronts. Results obtained by all the designed interferometers are presented and compared with the actual displacement given to the object between two exposures. It is observed that the minimum measurable displacement value is reduced using hololenses recorded with diverging spherical and planar wavefronts due to the formation of bigger diameter.
