Abstract

This study addresses the primary research question: How does AIGC technology influence enterprise digital strategy, and what specific dimensions are most impacted? To explore this, the research develops and validates a Digital Intelligent Transformation Ecosystem (DITE) model, encompassing five dimensions: digital capabilities, intelligent manufacturing capabilities, technological ecosystems, data ecosystems and market ecosystems. Novel empirical analysis of 268 valid questionnaires, leveraging chi-square tests, reveals that AIGC technology significantly enhances enterprise transformation in intelligent manufacturing capabilities and data ecosystems, though its impact on the market ecosystem is less pronounced. Limitations of the study, including the restricted sample scope of small- and medium-sized enterprises within a specific region and potential biases in data collection, may limit the generalisability of the findings and their applicability to larger or more diverse enterprises. These constraints highlight the need for caution in interpreting the results and emphasise the importance of expanding the sample scope and adopting diverse data collection methods in future research. By filling a critical gap in the empirical understanding of AIGC's effects on digital transformation, this study provides actionable insights for practitioners and an analytical framework for researchers, advancing discourse on AIGC's role in shaping enterprise digital strategy.
