Engineering Application of Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Integrated Bridge Systems in Anhui, China—A Case Study
Abstract
The K126+629 bridge is a vehicular overpass employing geosynthetic reinforced soil integrated bridge System technology, configured as a single 34.4 m span structure. The bridge features geosynthetic reinforced soi abutments that replace traditional pile foundations, combined with an integrated approach between the superstructure and adjacent roads, forming a seamless structural system. This report details the design optimization, construction methodology and a two-year performance monitoring program. The analysis focuses on the structural behavior under thermal cycles and service loads, demonstrating the system's excellent service performance, thereby providing valuable reference for similar applications.
